The Canadian Association of Drug Treatment Courts National Conference

Tentative dates: 24-28 April 2006
On behalf of the C.A.D.T.C. the conference organizers welcome the submission of abstracts of papers for consideration for presentation at the conference. A paper may be on any aspect of drug treatment courts and associated addiction treatment, rehabilitation and reintegration programs (see topical areas below). Abstracts should be no longer than 150 words. Proposals for panels of 4-5 speakers on a particular aspect are also welcome. The proposals should clearly outline the aspect of drug treatment courts and associated treatment programs, and key issues to be covered.
Submission of abstracts and panel proposals should be accompanied by a proposed title of the presentation and the names, contact details and position of the presenter(s). Queries in relation to possible topics and the submission of abstracts and panel proposals are welcome. Email submissions are preferred.
Proposed main topical areas include: DTC Program Development, Addiction Treatment in the DTC and Forensic context, Management of Treatment and Rehabilitation Programs for DTCs, Methamphetamine use and addiction and Forensic programs, First Nations and Aboriginal Issues in DTCs and Problem-solving Courts, Community Mobilization for DTC Programs, and Therapeutic Jurisprudence. Final topics and Agenda to be announced.
Closing date for abstracts: 31 January 2006. Organizers may appoint Presenters on a continuous entry basis.
